My name is Ms. Tierney, and I'm so happy to be teaching in this district! I was lucky enough to grow up in the Valhalla School District where I fell in love with learning. Every school year I looked forward to my reading and writing assignments and by the time I reached my junior year in high school, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in English. Through countless conversations with the supportive teachers I had, I decided that teaching was the field for me. I could not be happier with that decision!
I attended SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York, where I recieved a BA/MST degree in English and Adolescent Education. I went on to pursue an additional Master's degree and my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification upon graduating Plattsburgh, which brought me to this position! I am so happy to be here, and would be happy to answer any questions you may have!
